Mediterranean Flowering – A Vibrant Textured Mixed Media Painting on Canvas

Mediterranean Flowering is a mixed-media artwork on canvas, created using a textured technique, in which the artist explores the dialogue between colour, light and three-dimensionality. The painting develops through a richly textured surface with raised details and multiple layers, where the material itself becomes a fundamental expressive element.

The composition is structured in horizontal bands that evoke inner landscapes and natural impressions, recalling the rhythms and energies of the Mediterranean. Vivid colors — deep blues, intense greens, oranges and touches of red — intertwine through dynamic, fluid marks, giving rise to forms reminiscent of blossoms, marine organisms and the movement of water.

The pronounced texture, evident in the raised details and varied surfaces, lends the work a tactile and luminous dimension. Light reflects off the irregular surfaces, creating constantly changing visual effects depending on the viewing angle. This quality makes the painting particularly vibrant, as if it were in a state of continuous transformation.
