Deep Down Inside

Deep Down Inside – Original Spiritual Abstract Painting on Canvas

Deep Down Inside is a work of powerful spiritual and symbolic intensity, in which the pictorial material becomes a metaphor for an inner journey towards the light.

The surface is dominated by deep shades of blue, turquoise and white, crossed by golden marks that move like energetic pathways or subtle vibrations. The textured areas, created primarily through the use of paint itself and overlapping layers of paper, generate raised details and undulating surfaces that enhance the tactile and luminous qualities of the artwork. The composition suggests an inner landscape: from the darker, denser areas, a central light gradually emerges, symbolising the luminous presence held within the heart of every human being.

On the reverse of the painting, there is a handwritten dedication by the artist, which reads:

“Deep Down Inside” is a painting that symbolically represents the light that shines at the bottom of everyone’s heart, coming from our soul, with the wish that this light may illuminate our whole being and everything and everyone that surrounds us.

A phrase dating back several years is also present on the stretcher:

“total darkness inside, no signs of life; stay calm and relax, new thoughts will come by”

This phrase bears witness to an earlier stage in the artist’s personal and spiritual journey, with which she no longer fully identifies today. This element makes the artwork even more meaningful: Deep Down Inside does not emerge from thought, but from its absence—from a state of deep listening in which light spontaneously emerges from the material itself.

Due to the richness of the textured details and the multiple layers of colour, photographs may not fully convey the depth, variations in light and visual vibrations of the original surface.

Deep Down Inside is a unique and particularly significant work in the artist’s creative journey: a painting of rebirth and awareness, ideal for collectors drawn to contemporary experimental art and the symbolic value of inner transformation.
